Our General Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions govern the relationship between Harry Janssen Ltd ("we", "us", "our") and you for the various services that we offer.

1. Website Audit Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to all Website Audit services provided by Harry Janssen Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). By submitting your request and making payment, you agree to these Terms.

1.1. Scope of the Audit

Our Website Audit provides a comprehensive review of your website, including:

  • Website performance
  • Full SEO review
  • User experience assessment
  • Technical health check
  • Competitor analysis (up to three competitors)

The audit is intended to provide actionable advice to help you improve your website.

1.2. Deliverables

You will receive:

  • A written letter of advice summarising the audit findings and recommendations based on the areas reviewed
  • A virtual debrief meeting to discuss the report and answer any questions, arranged at a mutually convenient time

We will make up to three attempts to schedule the debrief. If you do not respond to our requests in a timely manner, the debrief may not occur. Refunds are not available if a client fails to participate in the debrief.

1.3. Timing

We aim to complete your website audit within one week of receiving your submission. Completion times may vary due to holidays, unforeseen circumstances, or delays in receiving required information from you. If delays occur, we will advise you as soon as reasonably practicable.

1.4. Payment

Payment for the audit is required at the time of submitting your website audit request via our website form. Work will not commence until payment has been received.

1.5. Client Responsibilities

You are not required to provide login credentials, though we may request access to analytics or other relevant information. Delays in providing this information may result in delayed or incomplete reports.

1.6. Limitation of Liability

The audit report is advisory only. We do not guarantee results or improvements following the recommendations. The internet is constantly changing, and advice provided may not be applicable in the future. You are responsible for any decisions made based on the audit.

1.7. Intellectual Property

The audit report is for your personal or business use only. You may not publicly distribute, publish, or share the report without our prior written consent.

1.8. Data and Privacy

We do not collect sensitive payment information. All payments are securely processed via Stripe, to which we have no access. Personal data provided through the form will be stored and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

1.9. Dispute Resolution

If you are unhappy with any aspect of the audit, please contact us first. We will work with you in good faith to find a mutually agreeable solution.

1.10. Refunds

Refunds are subject to deduction of administrative fees. Refunds are unavailable if you request cancellation once work has commenced or if you fail to respond to scheduling requests for the debrief.

1.11. Marketing Communications

By submitting the website audit form, you consent to receive marketing communications from us, including updates, resources, and service information. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us directly. Withdrawing consent will not affect your ability to receive the Website Audit or any other services you have purchased.

1.12. Updates to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms at any time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business processes. Any updates will be published on our website, and the revised Terms will apply to all audit requests submitted after the date of publication. We encourage you to review the Terms regularly to stay informed of any changes.

1.13. Governance

These terms are governed exclusively by the laws of England and Wales.

2. Recurring Payments

2.1. What Recurring Payments Cover

Recurring payments can be taken for:

  • Disbursements — expenses we incur on your behalf.
  • Professional fees — for the work we carry out on your behalf.

Disbursement payments will be charged according to the renewal cycle of the service, usually monthly or annually. Professional fees will be charged at the start of a billing period, which defaults to three months unless otherwise specified in your Costs Agreement.

We aim to provide advanced notice for disbursement payments, usually at least one month in advance, or as soon as reasonably practicable if this is not possible.

2.2. Verification Payment

To set up recurring payments, a £1 verification payment is taken to confirm your card details. This is stored in our client account and automatically applied to your next payment. For example, if your next payment is £50, only £49 will be charged.

If we cease working with you before a renewal, this £1 can be refunded, subject to a small administrative fee to cover processing costs.

2.3. Renewal Costs and Notices

You will be emailed with details of each renewal payment. In some cases, we may only be able to provide an estimate of the cost, for example if external providers have not yet confirmed charges.

Renewal amounts may change due to:

  • Changes to disbursement costs.
  • Increases to our professional fees.

No additional fees will be charged other than those agreed with you. If you request a new service that incurs additional costs, we will inform you as soon as reasonably practicable.

2.4. Cancellation

You may cancel your recurring payments at any time by providing written notice via email. Cancellation deadlines may apply for specific renewals — if notice is received after a deadline, it may not be possible to stop that renewal.

Upon cancellation, recurring payments will stop immediately. If a payment has already been processed for professional work, we will refund any unworked portion of the funds for that billing period.

2.5. Failed Payments

If a renewal payment fails, we will contact you via email and automatically retry the payment up to three times over the following days. If the payment still fails, an invoice will be issued for manual payment.

You are responsible for keeping your payment details up to date. If your card expires, you will need to complete the verification process again, including a new £1 verification charge, which will be applied to future payments.

2.6. Refunds

Refunds are available as explained above. To request a refund, please contact us by email.

2.7. Data and Security

All payment processing is handled securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment information on our servers. Your data is protected in line with our privacy policy, and you can view Stripe’s privacy and security details here.

2.8. Updates to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of recurring payments constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.

2.9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
